Lyrics

Walking across the sitting-room, I turn the television off. Sitting beside you, I look into your eyes. As the sound of motor cars fades in the night time, I swear I saw your face change, it didn't seem quite right. ...And it's hello babe with your guardian eyes so blue Hey my baby don't you know our love is true. Coming closer with our eyes, a distance falls around our bodies. Out in the garden, the moon seems very bright, Six saintly shrouded men move across the lawn slowly. The seventh walks in front with a cross held high in hand. ...And it's hey babe your supper's waiting for you. Hey my baby, don't you know our love is true. I've been so far from here, Far from your warm arms. It's good to feel you again, It's been a long long time. Hasn't it?

Notice

This transcription contains all guitarparts and bass-pedal, so even the parts of Tony Banks have been included (although sometimes they are very difficult to hear). Michael Rutherford plays on the left channel. Tony Banks and Steve Hackett on the right channel. I'm not quite shure about the F# on the fourth string in the parts of Tony Banks: that's why I placed them in brackets. So it's possible that Hackett and Banks play the same parts (ms 1-13 and ms 30-42). Although in this transcription I made the panning according to the place during live performances. The transcription has been made with the help of the Shepperton video (30-10-1973), Bataclan video and Melody video on Youtube, my transcription of Ray Wilson version, and of course the studioversion through Transcribe! I also checked the transcriptions of retrorocker and Houli, but completely draw my own plan. I tried to stay as close as possible to the layout of retrorocker, to make it easier to compare and check the differences. Retrorocker agreed in mentioning his name as co-author. Lover Leap 2: Michael Rutherford plays on the left, and Steve Hackett on the right channel. The Keyboard has been arranged for one or two 7-string guitars. I couldn't notate it as a normal keyboard, since I ran out of instruments. Ms 68-71 is not a Keyboard, but a 12-string fading in as the connection between "(i) Lover's Leap" and "(ii) The Guaranteed Eternal Sanctuary Man". It was the only way to transcribe all instruments.
